Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 18 March 1988. Rice describes his early years and religious experiences in St. Louis, Missouri, his time in the Air Force, and his marriage. He relates his conversion to the Mormon Church and its impact on his present family life. He also talks about the experiences of black Mormons.
